Robert Redford

Robert Redford, a pre-eminent director, actor, and film producer, is the founder of the Sundance Film Festival, the largest and most influential independent film festival in the world. He is a major force in cinema, environmental and philanthropic causes, and has been honored with two Academy Awards and countless other accolades. He is an executive producer of American Epic, and  the narrator of the first two films. He has called it "America's greatest untold story".

T Bone Burnett

T Bone Burnett is a nonpareil music and soundtrack producer, whose work on such films as O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Cold Mountain, Walk The Line, Crazy Heart, and The Hunger Games has earned him countless awards and accolades, including an Oscar, a BAFTA, a Golden Globe, and multiple Grammys. He is an executive producer of American Epic, and assists in the creation of the musical performances seen in the last film, The American Epic Sessions.

Jack White has won twelve Grammy Awards and both of his solo albums have reached number one on the Billboard charts. He is a vocal advocate for analog technology and recording techniques, the founder of Third Man Records, and a board member of the Library of Congress' National Recording Preservation Foundation. His previous film collaborations include the award-winning Cold Mountain and It Might Get Loud.
